【摘要】:Thispracticedescribesdifferentmethodsofexposingfire-retardant-treatedwoodproductsorassembliestocontrolledacceleratedweatheringorconditioning.Theconditioningsimulateseffectsofleaching,drying,temperature,and,intwomethods,UVlight.MethodAisthemethodnormallyspecifiedforregulatorypurposeswhentestingfire-retardant-treatedwoodthatisintendedforexteriorapplications.1.1Thispracticeaddressesthedurabilityofafire-retardanttreatmentofwoodproductsbyexposuretoacceleratedcyclesofwetting,drying,orultraviolet(UV)exposure,orcombinationthereof,priortoevaluationbyafireresponsetest.Fourconditioningmethodsaredescribed.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletowoodproductsthathavebeentreatedwithfire-retardantchemicalsbypressureimpregnation.1.3Thetestspecimensaretobeintheformof,orsuitableforfabricationinto,testspecimens,suchasthosedescribedinTestMethodsE84,E108,andE1354andotherstandardtestmethodsforevaluatingthefireperformanceoffire-retardant-treatedwoodproducts.1.4Thetextofthesemethodsreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthesetestmethods.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
