【摘要】:Thermalefficiencyandheatratearefrequentlyutilizedtoevaluatethethermodynamicqualityoffossilfuel-firedpowerplants.2Evaluationofgeothermalsystemsusingsimilardefinitionsofthermalefficiencyandheatrateisinappropriate,exceptforplantswhichoperateonacycle,suchasbinaryplants.Autilizationfactor,definedastheratioofnetworkoutputtotheidealworkavailablefromthegeofluid,providesamoreequitablebasisforevaluationofthethermodynamicexcellenceofgeothermalsystems.1.1Thisguidecoverspowerplantperformancetermsandcriteriaforuseinevaluationandcomparisonofgeothermalenergyconversionandpowergenerationsystems.Thespecialnatureofthesegeothermalsystemsmakesperformancecriteriacommonlyusedtoevaluateconventionalfossilfuel-firedsystemsoflimitedvalue.Thisguideidentifiesthelimitationsofthelessusefulcriteriaanddefinesanequitablebasisformeasuringthequalityofdifferingthermalcyclesandplantequipmentforgeothermalresources.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
