【摘要】:Otherstandardsareusedtocollectthegrosssample:PracticeD2234/D2234Mallowsforonedivisionofthegrosssamplebeforecrushing.Themassandtopsizeofthegrossordividedsamplecollectedbyusingtheseguidesandpracticesareusuallytoolargeforchemicalorphysicaltesting.PracticeD2013provideinstructionsforreducinganddividingthegrossordividedsample,byon-lineoroff-lineprocesses,orboth,toatopsizeandmasssuitabletotheperformanceoftesting.Anybiasinthegrossordividedsamplebeforeadherencetothispracticewillremaininthefinalsampleresultingfromuseofthispractice.Therefore,carefullyselectthestandardtobeusedtocollectthegrosssample.Divisionandreductionofasamplemayoccuratmorethanonelocation.Mostoften,thesampleiscollected,reduced,anddivided(oneormoretimes)byuseofamechanicalsamplingsystem.Theremainingsamplemaybefurtherdividedon-sitetofacilitatetransportingittothelaboratorywherefurtherreductionanddivisionlikelyoccursbeforeanalysis.Inplaces,thispracticerequiresairdryingthesamplebeforesubsequentreduction.Proceduresforairdryingandair-drylossdeterminationareprovidedinTestMethodD3302.Mostoften,samplesarereducedanddividedtoananalysissample.However,sometestsmayrequireasampleofdifferentmassortopsize.Thisproceduremaybeusedtoprovideasampleofanymassandsizeconsistfromthegrossordividedsampleto,andincluding,theanalysissample.Thispracticealsospecifieshowtopreparecompositesamples,ifrequired.1.1Thispracticecoversthereductionanddivisionofgrossordividedsamples,andthepreparationofcompositesamples,uptoandincludingtheindividualportionsforlaboratoryanalysis.1.2Reductionanddivisionproceduresareprescribedforcoalsofthefollowinggroups:1.2.1GroupAincludescoalsthathavebeencleanedinallsizes.1.2.2GroupBincludesallothercoals.UnknowncoalsaretobeconsideredunderGroupB.1.2.3GroupAallowssmallerweightlaboratorysamplestoberetainedthanGroupB.Theselowerweightsmaybeusedforparticularcoalsiftheyhavebeenshown,byusingtheproceduresofAnnexA1.2,togiveasamplepreparationandanalysisvariancewhichisnomorethan20%ofthetotalanalysisvariance.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.A1.1.1Thismethodcoversproceduresforcheckingprecisionofsamplepreparationandanalysisofthevariousstages.Thedataobtainedfromtestsusingconsistentsamplepreparationandanalysismethodareusedtoestimatetherandomerrorsinthevariousstagesofsampledivisionandanalysis.A1.......
