【摘要】:Gasketcompressionsproducedbyboltloadsinaflangedjointareimportantintheapplicationengineeringofajointassembly.Theyarerelatedtotheabilityofagaskettoseal,tomaintaintightnessonassemblybolts,andtoavarietyofothergasketpropertiesthatdeterminetheservicebehaviorofajointassembly.Thus,beingabletodeterminethedegreeofcompressioninagasketundertheboltloadingwillpermitonetomakequalitativepredictionsofthebehaviorofajointassemblywhenitcomesincontactwiththeapplicationorserviceenvironment.Withtheplugtest,bendingofaflangefacingbetweenboltcenterscanbemeasured;however,inafewhighlydistortableflangesthemaximumbendingbetweenboltcentersmaynotbedetected.Thevariationingasketcompressionsatselectedpointsinaflat-facejointassemblyrevealsthedegreeofflangedistortionortheabilityoftheflangetodistributesatisfactorilythecompressiveforcesfromboltloadsthroughoutthegasket.FIG.1EquipmentforPerformingtheSolder-PlugTestofGasketCompressions1.1Thispracticepermitsmeasurementofgasketcompressionresultingfromboltloadingonaflat-facejointassemblyatambientconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
