【摘要】:TheU-bendspecimenmaybeusedforanymetalalloysufficientlyductiletobeformedintotheU-shapewithoutmechanicallycracking.Thespecimenismosteasilymadefromstriporsheetbutcanbemachinedfromplate,bar,castings,orweldments;wirespecimensmaybeusedalso.SincetheU-bendusuallycontainslargeamountsofelasticandplasticstrain,itprovidesoneofthemostseveretestsavailableforsmooth(asopposedtonotchedorprecracked)stress-corrosiontestspecimens.Thestressconditionsarenotusuallyknownandawiderangeofstressesexistinasinglestressedspecimen.Thespecimenisthereforeunsuitableforstudyingtheeffectsofdifferentappliedstressesonstress-corrosioncrackingorforstudyingvariableswhichhaveonlyaminoreffectoncracking.TheadvantageoftheU-bendspecimenisthatitissimpleandeconomicaltomakeanduse.Itismostusefulfordetectinglargedifferencesbetweenthestress-corrosioncrackingresistanceof(a)differentmetalsinthesameenvironment,(b)onemetalindifferentmetallurgicalconditionsinthesameenvironment,or(c)onemetalinseveralenvironments.1.1ThispracticedescribesproceduresformakingandusingU-bendspecimensfortheevaluationofstress-corrosioncrackinginmetals.TheU-bendspecimenisgenerallyarectangularstripwhichisbent180176;aroundapredeterminedradiusandmaintainedinthisconstantstrainconditionduringthestress-corrosiontest.Bendsslightlylessthanorgreaterthan180176;aresometimesused.TypicalU-bendconfigurationsshowingseveraldifferentmethodsofmaintainingtheappliedstressareshowninFig.1.1.2U-bendspecimensusuallycontainbothelasticandplasticstrain.Insomecases(forexample,verythinsheetorsmalldiameterwire)itispossibletoformaU-bendandproduceonlyelasticstrain.However,bent-beam(PracticeG39ordirecttension(PracticeG49))specimensarenormallyusedtostudystress-corrosioncrackingofstriporsheetunderelasticstrainonly.1.3Thispracticeisconcernedonlywiththetestspecimenandnottheenvironmentalaspectsofstress-corrosiontestingwhicharediscussedelsewhere(1),inPracticesG35,G36,G37,G41,G44,G103andTestMethodG123.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareprovidedforinformation.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(FormorespecificsafetyhazardinformationseeSection10.)

【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61482specifiestestmethodstomeasurethearcthermalperformancevalueofmaterialsintendedforuseinheat-andflame-resistantclothingforworkersexposedtoelectricarcs.Thesetestmethodsmeasurethearcthermalperformancevalueofmaterialswhichmeetthefollowingrequirements:lessthan100mmcharlengthandlessthan2safterflameafterremovalfromflame,whentestedinaccordancewithISO15025,procedureB(bottom-edgeignition)ontheoutermaterial,andthecharlengthmeasuredusingamodifiedISOmethodasdescribedinannexA.Thesemethodsareusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,assembliesorgarmentsinresponsetoconvectiveandradiantenergygeneratedbyanelectricarcinopenairundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.ThematerialsusedinthesemethodsareintheformofflatspecimensformethodAandshirtsformethodB.MethodAisusedtomeasurefabricresponsetoarcexposurewhentestedinaflatconfiguration.MethodBisusedtomeasureclothingresponsetoanarcexposureincludingallthegarmentfindings,sewingthread,fastenings,fabricsandotheraccessorieswhentestedonamannequintorso.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthispartofIEC61482toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticespriortouse.Forspecificprecautions,seeclause7.NOTEAnalternativetestmethodisunderdevelopmenttomeasurethesamepropertiesusingaconstrainedanddirectedarc.ThismethodwillbeaddedtothispartofIEC61482whentheequivalencetomethodAhasbeendemonstrated.
